Lebanon Blue Devils fend off Station Camp’s late push, hold on 5-3
Station Camp was never able to get over the hump and get over its troubles against Lebanon Blue Devils on Thursday, as Station Camp fell 5-3 at Station Camp High School after falling behind by five runs in the fifth inning.
Station Camp scored three runs in the seventh on two singles. Despite its efforts, Station Camp couldn’t get over the hump.
Bryce Lester got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the third and sixth innings.
Station Camp couldn’t get anything going as long as Tristan Warden was on the rubber. Station Camp managed just one hit off of the Lebanon Blue Devils’ pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out two during his six innings of work.
Gay was charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
Lebanon Blue Devils never trailed after scoring one run in the first on an RBI double by Nick Sanders.
Lebanon Blue Devils piled on two more runs in the bottom of the third. Chase Andrews kicked things off with a triple, plating Sanders. That was followed up by Jonathan Presley’s single, scoring Chase Andrews.
After posting one run in the fourth, Lebanon Blue Devils again scored one in the fifth. In the fourth, Lebanon Blue Devils scored on an RBI double by Austin Montgomery, plating Brady Estes.
