Lebanon Baseball Falls To Portland On Walkoff
It came down to the last play, but Lebanon Baseball was on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Portland on Tuesday. The game was tied at seven with Portland batting in the bottom of the seventh when Meadors doubled off of Eli McDearman, driving in one run.
Lebanon Baseball collected six hits and Portland had nine in the high-scoring affair
Lebanon Baseball took an early lead in the first inning. Dalton Squires singled on a 2-1 count in the first inning, scoring two runs.
Portland knotted the game up at seven in the bottom of the fifth inning. Meadors hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.
Portland scored five runs in the second inning. Portland’s big inning was driven by a double by Abutrab and a single by Tucker.
Squires led Lebanon Baseball with three runs batted in. He went 1-for-2 on the day.
Lebanon Baseball stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Felipe Juarez led the way with three.
Portland didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tucker had the most chances in the field with seven.
