Boys Varsity Cross Country · State Champion Aiden Britt wins it all!

Aiden competed in the TSSAA Large School Division 1 State Cross Country meet on Thursday, November 5th and placed 1st claiming the coveted State Champion Title. This was a fierce battle with lots of competition from around the state. The top 3 runners put on a cross country duel that hand spectators anxious as they watched the meet unfold as there was no clear winner until Aiden made his final move with around 800 meters to go. From there, Aiden made a commanding finish with a nearly 7 second gap between he and the 2nd place runner. This was Aiden’s 4th trip to the State Meet in his high school career, a very rare accomplishment. In previous attempts:
Freshman – 2017: Placed 12th with a time of 16:25
Sophomore – 2018: Placed 6th with a time of 15:56
Junior – 2019: Placed 5th with a time of 15:51
Senior – 2020: Placed 1st with a time of 15:29
An outstanding Senior accomplishment and this young man will be one to watch in the Spring as he heads to Track & Field season.
