Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity Takes Early Lead In Victory Over Greenbrier

Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity grabbed an early lead on its way to a 14-6 victory over Greenbrier on Saturday. Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity scored on a walk by Brice Njezic in the first inning, a single by Eli Carson in the second inning, a stolen base by Carson in the second inning, and a single by Brody Hays in the second inning.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity collected 15 hits and Greenbrier four in the high-scoring affair

After Greenbrier scored three runs in the top of the fourth, Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity answered with three of their own. Greenbrier scored when an error scored one run for Greenbrier and Hunter Thaxton grounded out, scoring two runs. Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity then answered when Kk West singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Carson singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs, Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity scored on a stolen base during Carson Boles’s at bat. Then Boles singled , driving in two, and Hays singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Will Burruss earned the victory on the mound for Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity. The righty lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero. Boles and E Forsythe entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
