Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity Claims Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Hendersonville
Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity nabbed the lead late in the game in a 16-13 victory over Hendersonville on Tuesday. The game was tied at 13 with Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when Bailey Lasater hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.
Brianna Nagelhout collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity to victory. Nagelhout singled in the first, singled in the fourth, doubled in the fifth, and singled in the seventh.
Hendersonville captured the lead in the second inning when Sarah Biggerstaff singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Hendersonville knotted the game up at 13 in the bottom of the sixth inning, when Emilee Corah tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity scored five runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to doubles by Nagelhout and Lasater and a fielder’s choice by Anna Bennett.
Hendersonville launched four home runs on the day. Corah had a long ball in the second inning. Alex Beavers had a dinger in the second and fourth innings. Montana Ray had a homer in the sixth inning.
