Dickerson Brings In Five Runs, But Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity Can’t Hold Up Against Cookeville

Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity fell 12-9 to Cookeville on Thursday despite five RBIs from Aly Dickerson. Dickerson drove in runs on a double in the third, a home run in the sixth, and a double in the seventh.

Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity collected 16 hits and Cookeville had 14 in the high-scoring affair.

Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity scored four runs in the sixth inning. Jordan Bush and Dickerson each had RBIs in the frame.

Holly Smith led things off on the rubber for Cookeville. He lasted seven innings, allowing 16 hits and nine runs while striking out six.

Dickerson toed the rubber for Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity. He surrendered seven runs on ten hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Karlee Wright threw three innings in relief.

Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity smacked two home runs on the day. Bush went yard in the sixth inning. Dickerson had a long ball in the sixth inning.

Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity tallied 16 hits on the day. Dickerson, Madi Kimble, Bush, Landry Dixon, Bailey Lasater, and Lily Beth Waddle all managed multiple hits for Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity. Kimble and Dickerson each collected three hits to lead Lebanon Blue Devils Varsity.

Cookeville tallied 14 hits in the game. Bailey Turnbow, Gwen Rodriguez, Smith, Hannah Johnson, Blair Cherry, and Shelby Radford all managed multiple hits for Cookeville. Cookeville was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Cherry had the most chances in the field with seven.
